Episode 2

This week Nataizya, Elle, and Palesa chatted about Black History Month and what it means to them and to Canada.

Using their trusted friend Google - they found a wonderful Refinery29 article written by Kathleen Newman-Bremang which highlights Black Canadian Women in History.

In this episode they highlight 6 women in particular, of the 22 mentioned in the list. Namely; Kathleen Livingstone, Lucie Blackburn, Carrie Best, Violet King, Mairuth Sarsfield, and Jennifer Hodge de Silva.

Supporting Black women is at the core of our organization. Thus, we will be featuring the work of Black women as we do research and explore different topics in the podcast. We had so much fun recording this episode and hope that it brings you lots of laughter.
