Odihi meaning "the essence of greatness" founded by Efe Fruci is a Black-led not-for-profit with a mission to educate, equips, and empower Black girls (10-17) years old and women (18-25) years old through coaching, workshops, and mentorship programs. We exist to support more Black girls and women into positions of leadership, power, and be in rooms where decisions are being made.

My journey began in Kenya where sharing food with our community was an important part of every day. I migrated to Toronto as a young teenager where I was introduced to West African, Caribbean, and middle Eastern cuisine and culture. After moving to Vancouver I was inspired to create something unique that is reflective of my experiences by connecting people to their food and community.

I’m located in downtown Port Coquitlam. So far I’ve been selling cookies, brownies, Pavlova, scones and Apple Galette. I plan to add to/refine this list. The business started out over the last few months with the intention of learning a new skill during time off from my regular job. I started by learning various skills, recipes, baking techniques and taste testing on my family and friends.
