Deborah is one of the first black stuntwomen in western Canada and a pioneer in the industry. She has worked in the film industry for over 30 years and has worked on films like X-Men, Scary Movie, Freddy vs. Jason, Romeo Must Die and many others. She has performed all kinds of stunts from full body burns to bungee jumping off bridges. She has paved the way for a new generation of BIPOC stunt performers and continues to educate and empower new performers in the industry with her expertise and wisdom to this day.

Maya is a second generation stuntwoman who has over 20 years experience in this industry. Her career started as a stunt kid and continues on today working as a full time stunt performer and member of UBCP. She started on her journey while training a variety of martial arts and dance as a child performer, and then took time to focus on her university studies. Following her studies she invested her time fully into the stunt community and has been working on different television and movie productions all around North America. As one of the few black stuntwomen in Canada, her motivation is to create a safer and more inclusive work environment, so that new BIPOC stunt performers can excel to their full potential and have opportunities given to them that weren't available to generations of BIPOC performers before them.
